We have worked on the integration of a GNSS RTK module for surveying, along with an Android application compatible with the module, enabling live data viewing. The connection between the module and the smartphone is via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), guaranteeing efficient and reliable communication.
Should the GNSS signal be lost, the inertial unit (IMU) and magnetometer take over in Dead Reckoning mode until the signal is restored. We were careful to integrate the GNSS RTK module without increasing the weight of the detector, in line with our customer's request for very light detectors.
We developed a hardware interface between an RTK chip and standard connectors, with careful mechanical integration. The customer's objective was to integrate this card into a triple-frequency RTK base operating with RTKBase. This solution enables precision geolocation and connection to the Centipede network.
